so lets start off with something that warms my anger to boiling point. Yes, our fair government and its spending spree continues.
fresh off the G8 and G20 summits with leaders from around the world and a global promise to reduce debts, the minority federal government again has ANNOUNCED ANOTHER SPENDING SPREE!!!! oh my fellow Canadians, this one is like no other...and will cost the tax payers of this already burdened country even more....try 9 BILLION dollars more. Yes!!! whoohaaaa more taxes!
The federal government announced that it has awarded a contract to American Corporation Lockheed Martin to ship F-35 fighters to Canada. the first to arrive in 2016.
not only is the cost outrageous, (here it comes now...hang on...) but the federal government, in its ever growing infinite stupidity, has not allowed the contract to be BID on, but rather just awarded it to Lockheed Martin. this is OUTRAGEOUS!!!! why are we paying for fighters at a ridiculous cost and WHY DID THE GOVERNMENT NOT ALLOW OTHER BIDDERS????
can we not build planes in CANADA? does the ARROW not count as an example of our ability? (you know...the plane designed, built and tested here that the Americans stole by forceably bankrupting ARROW.) does our economy not need jobs...good paying jobs? does this not meet the criteria of the "make work program" that the government has been spouting out on TV commercials?
and the big question....HOW DOES A MINORITY GOVERNMENT SPEND THAT KIND OF MONEY WITH OUT ANY OPPOSITION, ON A ITEM THAT PRETTY MUCH FLIES IN THE FACE OF ITS OWN "PEACEKEEPING IMAGE"?
i am ashamed to call us peacekeepers! i am ashamed of this government for setting up rules and breaking them at the drop of a hat! i am ashamed that no one is really defending what i am saying! if the government continues in this money spending fashion, what will be left??
how much of 9 billion could aid a failing healthcare system or any other starved social program?

comming soon, digital will be in place whether you like it or not. your analogue tv will be obsolete if you use rabbit ears or antenna soon. why? because media monopolies want to add more programing and by using digital they can add almost twice as many useless programs for you to watch. the cost is of course, TO YOU. if you don't purchase one of the new fangled IDIOT BOXES you are to become burdened with buying a box at the cost of $75 to convert your old tv.

It's Been A While....but Something Always Crops Up!!
Hi Everyone,
well its been a while, but something always crops up in the news to raise the hair on the back of my neck. and god bless the media for being so diligent about reporting stuff that pisses me off.
today's latest thing is the "Eco Fee." have you heard of it??? most Canadian's haven't....mostly because the government didn't feel the need to inform us. why didn't they??? that i will get to later.
first the Eco Fee. it seems that the federal government wants us to be "aware" what we do not sort for garbage. there are a list of products that now fall under this Eco Fee.
the government decided that the Canadian public should sort potential harmful containers and deposit them at a soon to be issued 'orange station' in their area. what is an orange station? well it is a spot at your local landfill that accepted your paint cans and oil containers or any other container or product deemed unsafe for the regular landfill. why do we need to change how this is structured? because of the alarming amount of containers and products that are appearing without people being careful.
so in layman's terms here's how its suppose to work: 1. the government said the stores or manufacturers would have to pay an Eco Fee for any product that was deemed harmful or unsafe. 2. the price would range from 13c for some products to $6.66 for a fire extinguisher weighing more than 5.5lbs. 3. the Eco Fee would roll into action as of July 1, 2010. 3. ALL moneys would go to the set up and run of these orange stations to monitor and accept possible harmful or unsafe containers and products. 4. NO MONEY would see the pockets of the government. 5. money will be collected by Stewartship Ontario. (what that is, i don't know) 6. this new program was introduced to make the public aware of what can go and what cannot go to the local landfill.
THAT IS THE GOVERNMENT'S VERSION.
NOW FOR REALITY..... 1. there was little to NO information made public about this ECO FEE to Canadians. WHY?.... because the government thought that it could slip it by us. 2. MOST Canadians already use their local 'hazardous waste programs' at their local landfills. WHY do we need a new one? WHY?....MONEY. 3.the contents that they wish us to sort are the same as the ones we have always sorted. WHY? revenue for a few 1000 jobs. 3. the Stewartship Ontario is what? WHY?....cause its easier to create a non profit company to filter money through. the private business sector does it all the time....only if they get caught its called LAUNDERING. 4. companies and distributors don't want to pay the Eco Fee. WHY?....it eats into their profits. 5. the Eco Fee has been passed on to the consumer sector. WHY? because the little guy gets it in the neck every time and apparently...we are not yet burdened enough with federal and provincial taxation.
SO WHAT EXACTLY IS THE GOVERNMENT DOING ABOUT THIS FEE THAT HAS BEEN SLYLY HANDED DOWN TO US?????? N O T H I N G!!!!
the minister of environment one John Gerretson thinks that its ok that we swallow the fees because it will make us aware of what is being put into the landfills.
KNOW WHAT I SAY......SHOVE YOUR ECO FEES....AND SHAME ON YOU MR. GERRETSEN FOR THINKING THAT WE WOULD SWALLOW ANOTHER LOT OF BULLSHIT!!!!!!
why are you not righting this wrong and make sure that the companies and distributors are absorbing these fees? why are you not making them label containers stating that this is an Eco Fee product? why are you JUST NOT MAKING THEM FIND FRIENDLIER CHEMICALS OR BETTER CONTAINERIZATION SO SHIT LIKE THIS DOESN'T GET TO OUR LANDFILLS? why are we always the ones that pay for the business sectors bullshit?

KNOW WHAT I SAY....sure we need them...but only because the media and corporations dictate that we do to survive. so we can either stop using them and the Eco Fee goes away.....or we can refuse to pay a fee for something that we did not create. I SAY STOP THIS 'PASS THE BUCK' SHIT....N O W.
the government needs some balls here!!! it is not on us to be responsible for what corporations make or manufacture. it is time for CORPORATIONS AND DISTRIBUTORS TO BE AWARE OF WHAT THEY MAKE, HOW THEY MAKE IT AND THE AFFECTS IT WILL HAVE ON THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE PEOPLE THAT LIVE AND BREATHE ON PLANET EARTH. AND WHEN THEY STOP CHURNING OUT THIS GARBABE, THEN I WILL BE GLADLY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT EVER I CREATE OR DO.
